Details and Description 

This course provides an interactive hands-on tutorial to understand the concepts and workflow of microseismic data processing using our InSite software as a tool. The course will cover the triggering, picking, locating and interpreting of microseismic data.  The course is suitable for people wanting a refresher course in microseismic processing and for new and existing users of the InSite software product suite (InSite Geo, InSite Lab and InSite HF). This course will include all course materials and a week's trial license of the latest version of InSite Geo data processing software which we will use for this course.

Junwei Huang is a senior geophysical consultant specializing in algorithm development, data processing and interpretation for passive seismic monitoring and active seismic imaging. He has undertaken microseismic projects worldwide including reservoir stimulation, underground mining, geothermal development, and nuclear waste disposal. He is a key developer of microseismic processing software (InSite) at Itasca Consulting Ltd and provides extensive training and technical support to customers around the globe. Junwei is a registered P.Geo (Ltd) with Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and was awarded a Ph.D. from University of Toronto.
